Mahindra XUV700’s infotainment system will have Amazon Alexa for voice-activated functions. For automotive controls and infotainment systems, users will be able to utilise the same voice commands as Alexa devices. When the vehicle is outside of network coverage, the system will provide rudimentary offline capabilities. Over-the-air updates will be available for Alexa AI to improve the ownership experience over time.

Customer can login to the infotainment system’s Alexa capability using the following process.

XUV7OO Amazon Alexa setup

1. Download Alexa App from the Play Store/App Store
2. Login to the application using your Amazon account OR Create a new account using
   your mobile number
3. Plug in your Echo device to a power outlet
4. Go to Devices section in your Alexa and follow the on screen instructions to add your
   Echo device and give it a name (Bedroom, Kitchen etc)
5. Login into the same Amazon account on the XUV700 infotainment screen
6. Your Alexa devices & XUV700 is connected to your Amazon account

2. Online Commands

Online Commands – Give online commands to the infotainment system, Alexa device, your smartphone.

• What is the temperature in Pune?
• Play me some Punjabi songs
• Who is Albert Einstein?

3. Home Integration Commands

Home Integration: Ask the Alexa in the infotainment system to control the connected Alexa device. For eg; if your Alexa device is named Bedroom

Here is Examples of Home Integration Commands:-

• Ask XUV700 “Alexa, Play music in the bedroom”
• Ask XUV700 “Alexa, Stop music in the bedroom”

Customer can have any smart device (Smart AC, Smart Lights etc) in their home and control them from XUV700 in the same manner
