Seema Bisla Biography
Seema Bisla is an Indian freestyle wrestler who competes in the 50 kg category for India internationally. Bisla was born in Rohtak, Haryana, India, on Wednesday, April 14, 1993. Bisla hails from a wrestling family, as both her father and uncle competed at the state and national levels.
She competed in the World Wrestling Championships in Budapest (Hungary) in 2018, but was eliminated in the first round in the 55kg women’s freestyle division. Seema competed in the World Wrestling Championships again in 2019, but she was eliminated after losing in the repechage round.
She won her first international medal two years later, in 2021, when she won bronze in the women’s freestyle 50 kg division at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her berth for the summer games debut at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 was confirmed with this medal.
