Neha Bhasin Career
At the age of nine, Neha won her first singing competition, winning Mariah Carey’s song Hero. She’d always wanted to be a pop star since she was a kid. She enrolled in Shiamak Davar’s dancing academy to learn several styles of dance. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan also taught her vocal classical techniques. Bhasin was a student at Lady Sri Ram College when she auditioned for Coke [V] Popstars in 2002 and won the competition, joining four other girls to create India’s first all-female Viva (band). Neha went on to sing for Bollywood films and the Tamil cinema soundtrack after the band separated in 2004.
